Terms of Service — Wiespr

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Wiespr ("the Service") at wiespr.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users — both registered session owners and anonymous senders.

2. Description of Service

Wiespr is an anonymous real-time messaging platform. Registered users ("session owners") can create ephemeral sessions with a custom prompt and share a unique link. Anyone with that link can send anonymous messages without creating an account. Sessions and all messages are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Wiespr. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using Wiespr on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at support@wiespr.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Wiespr to:

Send or solicit content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
Share or request sexually explicit content involving minors
Impersonate any person or entity
Spam, phish, or engage in any form of unsolicited messaging
Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
Circumvent anonymity protections or attempt to de-anonymize other users
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content

Your content: You retain ownership of the content you create (session prompts, messages). By submitting content, you grant Wiespr a limited license to store and transmit it solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

Content removal: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

Ephemeral nature: All sessions and messages are automatically and permanently deleted 24 hours after session creation. We strongly disclaim any obligation to preserve content beyond this period.

7. Anonymity Disclaimer

While Wiespr is designed to protect the identity of anonymous senders, we cannot guarantee absolute anonymity. Anonymous senders are identified by browser-local UUIDs and random emoji identities, not by personal data. However, network-level information (e.g., IP addresses) may be accessible to intermediaries. Do not send content you would not want associated with your identity in any circumstance.

8. Intellectual Property

The Wiespr name, logo, design, and all original platform code are the intellectual property of Wiespr and its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without explicit written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Wiespr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wiespr and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, privacy breaches caused by third parties, or damages resulting from content sent through Wiespr by other users.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Wiespr at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time via the Settings page.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Your continued use of Wiespr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration.
